Dan Karpuc: Davidson +3.5 at Charleston
As I wrote in today’s NCAAB Playbook, Davidson (3-0 SU, 1-1 ATS, 2-0 O/U) holds a 111th KenPom rating and has beaten Guilford (87-64), Wright State (102-97) and VMI (75-71). Charleston (2-1 SU, 2-1 ATS, 3-0 O/U) is ranked 176th in KenPom’s ratings and has the 10th-fastest Adjusted Tempo mark. Therefore, expect this game to play fast. Charleston has beaten Chattanooga (85-78), lost to No. 1 North Carolina (102-86) and beat Richmond (92-90) so far. The one thing I’m very confident about is that Davidson will have the best player on the court on their side. Senior guard Foster Loyer (28.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 5.7 assists) has put up amazing numbers so far and has built off of last year’s success following three seasons at Michigan State. Give me Davidson +3.5.

Brad Pinkerton: Michigan -7.5 vs. Arizona State

Michigan is coming off a 31-point blowout of Pittsburgh in the Legends Classic semifinals as eight-point favorites. I think they’ll carry that momentum into the finals against an Arizona State team that hasn’t really been tested, unless you count their “upset” of VCU yesterday as three-point underdogs. Everything seemed to click for Michigan in the second half against Pitt, and I’m not sure the Sun Devils, who have failed to cover against Tarleton State (-14), Northern Arizona (-16.5) and Texas Southern (-11), are ready for a Wolverines team firing on all cylinders. I’ll take Michigan to cover -7.5.
