49ers have 10 players in top 10 at their positions in Pro Bowl Voting

With Sunday night’s 13-0 shutout of the New Orleans Saints and the Seattle Seahawks’ overtime loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, the 49ers are firmly in control of the NFC West. At 7-4, they stand third in the NFC behind only the 10-1 Philadelphia Eagles and 9-2 Minnesota Vikings.

They boast the top statistical defense in the league and perhaps the most talented offense. As such, it’s no surprise that the 49ers have a litany of players who are potential Pro Bowlers.

Per Matt Maiocco, there are 10 49ers who are in the top 10 at their positions in Pro Bowl voting:

Nick Bosa, with 72,910 votes, is the top vote-getting defensive lineman. Kyle Juszczyk is the leading fullback at 78,009 votes, and Trent Williams is the top tackle, with 30,483 votes.

Voting is determined by a vote from fans, players and coaches, split in thirds.

The following is a breakdown of positions and the corresponding numbers of players who will be selected (44 players per conference, 88 total).

This is the first year the Pro Bowl itself will not longer be a game. It’s been rebranded as the Pro Bowl Games and will feature skills challenges and a 7-on-7 flag football game.

Last year, the 49ers had seven Pro Bowlers, with Bosa, Williams, Juszczyk, Deebo Samuel and George Kittle named initially, and both Alex Mack and Laken Tomlinson named later as replacements.
